The PathFinder forest attribute map collection includes maps for 18 forest attributes for the year 2020 in 10 m spatial resolution and European-wide coverage. The attributes include Growing stock volume (Vol), Above ground biomass (AGB), Conifer proportion (P_Con), Quadratic mean diameter (DBH), Basal area (BA), Height (H), Gross annual increment (GAI), Net annual increment (NAI) and Proportions of 10 tree species groups (P_xxx, where x denotes species code). The Vol, AGB and P_Con maps are available also for 2024.
The maps have been produced with a combination of Sentinel-2 satellite data, auxiliary layers and National Forest Inventory plots. Detailed description of the data and methods can be found in the DataverseNO documentation dataset (NIBIO 2025) and in Miettinen et al. (2025).
The maps can be downloaded directly from the PathFinder portal by pushing the download button at the top left corner of the portal window. They are also available for download at the DataverseNO.
